Bird box, new listing

Spring has sprung!

It has been so lonesome in my workshop without Chester. I had to have some form of nature close to me again. I went out and bought a bird feeder to hang outside my workshop window.

This has been a riot. It is flocked with adorable backyard birds, fighting over the seed, and looking so cute and fluffy. There a ton of red headed finches, and lots of sparrows. It is about a foot from the window, so I'm loving it. They're used to me standing there working on projects, and talking to them. I have to tell you, I feel a bit like Cinderella talking to her little birdies!

Inspired by the new flock, here's another little bird box. I hope you like it. That's a real quail egg on top of moss. It has been covered in resin. And the word "nurture" to remind us of how important it is to have nature surround us with her beauty, every single day.

I'm listing my sweet box on Etsy tomorrow.
Go outside and enjoy spring today, somewhere, somehow. And blow a kiss to your sweet backyard birds.

Miss R,

Now this is just way to cute!!! And what a wonderful breath of Spring!!!!

I'm glad you found a way to help heal and adjust to the loudness of the quiet in your studio. Your doing great!!! Baby steps get you there far faster and safer!! Just remember to to be proud of you. Little Chester would be the first to say "way to go Mom"!!!

Ooooooo! Such a gorgeous piece! What fun to have all of those birdies outside of your window! I think I'll have to move my birdfeeder outside my workshop window as well. Right now, I'm getting lots of geckos & other lizards (that eat the bugs but are less than inspiring for me), but not a whole lot of birds.

Riki - I love feeding the birds - try a hummingbird feeder next, they are alot of fun and I promise you will get attached to hummingbirds and they just might show up in your next precious box.

Love the bird's nest...resin application to the egg is so clever!

Wishing you a wonderful Holiday weekend - Hugs - Julie

Riki, wow this box is truly a one of a kind. What a wonderful idea to incorporate the nest. I enjoy watching birds at the bird feeder as well, they are so sweet and may help ease the pain. I agree with Pattie's comments, that your little Chester would be so proud of you. :-)

Its so funny,..outside with the kids in the pool and a family of red robins came for a visit on the fence.Well,I think they were red robins..lol..but I do agree with you..nature always centers me,calming the spirit enough to be truly open.It is in these moments of perfect clarity that our love is at rest.A place where Chester sits beside you, enjoying the breeze and the company, most of all.

I love your box Riki..Always lovely.. and surrounded,in every corner, and every bend.. of your kind spirit.Big Hugs Friend,Cat

I love to watch the birds at the feeder. I know they are no replacement for Chester, though. A friend said to me one day, "I'm a pervert." I was shocked ... "I like to watch the birdies take a bath!" she said. I cracked up. So, go on, be a pervert all you like ... it's Mother Nature after all!
