I'm so excited!
I get to go antique shopping
all weekend!!

Tomorrow, my fabulous weekend journey begins with my dear friend, and partner in crime, Diana Frey. We are starting our journey early with a trip to a sweet little town called Nipomo. There is a darling antique show there on Saturday called Remants of the Past.

I try to pick up things for my jewelry, but you know how that goes. It never fails I fall in love with something that will look so darn cute in the workshop, I can't resist.

I'm really going to try to hold out for the next adventure, the Alameda Flea Market on Sunday in Oakland, CA. They have hundreds of vendors! It takes all day to wade through the booths, and I hardly ever finish. After we finish at the first little antique show, we're driving up the coast to SF and settling in the for night, after a fabulous dinner. Then is it early to rise at o' dawn hundred, and try to be at the GIANT flea market at 7am or so. Whew.

Then the four hour drive home, after we've "dropped"!

I hope to make some "wise" choices, and pick up some pretties that I can turn into some wearable art.
Wish me luck with that!

Rike,
Have a wonderful time. This is my idea of "ultimate fun"...sharing the joy of all these wonderful things I love with kindred spirit.

I try to tell myself that it has to be really special. Of course, I don't succeed in that half the time but at least I succeed the other half!

Try to pace yourself for that long journey home...but if you don't you will get there and you can crash.

And take pictures, if you aren't too carried away just enjoying!

Sounds like a letter from your mom.

Hugs,
Suz

Hope you & Diana hit the Jack Pot!!!! Just doing it is so much fun. I still have sore feet from being at Round Top last week with Diane. And we didn't get to shop that much because she was tending her booth & I had Hubby with me (which slowed me down A LOT). We left Wednesday & then Wednesday night poor Diane got the call that her Dad was in bad shape & he died the next day. So sad for her week to end like that. Can't wait to see what you bought. Post some photos. HUGS!
