Falling in love

Have you fallen knock down, drag out,
in love recently?

I have!
After losing sweet Chester in April, I just wasn't sure about getting another pup. Then WH said I should, since I was devastated, and thought I was losing my mind. Funny thing about grief, and those of you who have experienced it, know exactly how it affects you. You can't concentrate, or focus, you know the routine. That's a different kind of stress than my recent worry stress. But they both try to get the best of you, but you can't let it!

But, when is the right time to get another little pal? How long should you wait?
My answer is get one when you need to. Pretty simple.
Don't worry about the length of time.
So little Maddie came into our lives. Is she cute or what, with her little teal bow, to match mom's teal hair!! Ha ha.

The comments you left for me in a recent post regarding worrying for my loved ones, will stay with me for a long time. Such wonderful insight, sharing and caring. I want to think I can handle everything, be Super Woman, not let anything get to me. Be able to shake everything off.

Wrong.

This economy is coming at everyone with double barrels. It's affecting everyone, in one way or another. I think it's okay to talk about these things, and how we're feeling. I was hoping it would help others, and I think it did from the responses.

We're all going to get through the tough times. Goodness knows I've had my troubles, and things work themselves out, one way or another.

On one last note, just wanted to say I'm back in the saddle creating again. It feels so good.
How are you doing? Make something that makes you smile, it feels great.
Love and hugs to you.
Riki

Is that a Christmas photo or not??? So very sweet of the two of you girls. I'm one of the lucky ones who have actually had the pleasure of meeting Miss Maddie and received some of her puppy kisses. I know exactly why you are in love with her. She is such a delight...as you are my friend. So pleased you are feeling the spark of joy again. I know you are designing some beautiful things. Have a great weekend.
Hugs
Diana

Oh I'm so happy for you!

When I lost Buddy, I was devastated and didn't know what to do. I started volunteering at the shelter to help me cope. I ended up falling for a cat there, and he lives with us now. It took a little time, but I needed him, and he needed us, and I swear, he has a lot of Buddy in him!

SOOOO happy for you!

oh the two of you! precious, just precious!
riki I love what you had said "everything will work it's way out, it always does" and isn't that the truth. don't know why or how we are granted tough times. but those times are the ones we appreciate our family, friends and eachother the most. especially if your heart is true and yes everything always works itself out...even if we don't believe it will...

This is so sweet and you are a wonderful person. Blogs are for sharing... the good and the bad. Life bring it on. We do what we can do....
Now, I have only one question.
What's with the blue('scuse me,teal)hair, you two little punk rockers?
Love the photo.....

Look at your happy face! When you're in love, all is right with the world.

I'm glad to know time and Maddie are easing your grief and that you are creating again. Nothing like a little spark of passion, some time apart and a long, deep breath to inspire ideas.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and joyful holiday.
Gratefully,
Renee

Aw, what a sweet, sweet picture of the two of you. I can just see this one in a tarnished silver and rhinestone frame. :-) She is really growing up. The bow is the icing on the cake. We used to do that to our Hodgie but now we keep his hair short in a "puppy cut".
I'm glad to hear you are taking flight again and are off on new creative adventures!
